Health Goals
I have be (re)assessing a lot of aspects of my life this past week, one specifically is my health goals as I get older.
I for sure thought I would be young forever, not really- but I definitely never thought I would have issues. However over the last three years I have had some issues with lower back pain.
It started small, felt like a stain and then I thought I could train the muscle(s) myself- I am a CPT after all. In February I came to realization I need help so I started taking pilates regularly (2x a week), I can already tell the difference in my body.
My core feels stronger, the ache in my knee (from too many suicides on the basketball court) is gone, most importantly my back feels back to normal.
This has lead me to really think about what I want my health goals to be as I grow older because I know growing older does not have to be accompanied with pain and discomfort.
- There is (wearable) technology and supplements to reverse aging.
- There are exercises to build muscle and bone mass at every age.
- There are (whole) foods to fight disease.
Health goals as I get older:
- Look healthy
- Move with ease
- Reverse aging (physically & mentally)
- Remain off big pharma’s customer list
We just have to empower ourselves to realize (most) medical doctors know little about nutrition and they are not paid to prevent nor cure disease.
What are some of your health goals?🩷J
