Black Bean Burgers
I have a new recipe for you all; ~20 minute (prep time) black bean burgers. Delicious, simple, and perfect for spring.🤤
Ingredients:
- 1 can (15.5 oz) black beans- rinsed
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup scallions
- 3 tbsp cilantro, optional
- 3 garlic cloves, optional
- 9 tbsp Just Egg, or 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp chilli powder- optional

Instructions:
- Rinse and pat dry black beans
- In a food processor or blender combine:
- bell peper
- scallions
- cilantro
- garlic
- Next, add:
- just egg
- oats
- Lastly, combine:
- black beans
- cumin
- chilli powder
- The constancy is really personal preference, I personally like the beans to be more mashed
- Divide mixture into 4 patties
- Place on wax paper and freeze for 2 hours
- or until you are ready to cook, then thaw in fridge for a couple hours if it’s been a few days
- Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 7 minutes each side
