Self Care

✋🏼Can we stop glorifying self care as…

  • A cupcake.
  • A glass of wine.
  • A Netflix binge.

Here’s the truth few “influencers” will tell you-

Self care is…

  • Doing what you said you would do
  • Moving your body everyday, even for a walk, because that’s what we’re designed to do.
  • Making choices that serve your body rather than result in bloating, acne, &/or dehydration.

Self care looks like (self) discipline.

There’s nothing wrong with a (sweet) treat, glass of wine, or relaxing night on the couch but there is something wrong with glorifying (repetitive) lack of discipline as self care when little work has actually been done.

PS: If this post stings a little, I’m sorry for the tough love but someone had to do it.
