Don’t Stop Working

If you can’t stop thinking about it don’t stop working for it.

I believe the hardest part of adulthood is holding yourself accountable to your goals.

If we are expected to be at work we show up on time, well most of us. If we are suppose to pick someone up we show up. But so many times when we are suppose to work towards our goals we don’t show up; something always sounds better (or easier).

I’m guilty of this. There have been many nights when happy hour wins over research even though I know happy hour is not getting me closer to my goals.

Then I look back over a week or month only to feel farther away from my goal.

The secret, In that moment I feel farther away from my goal because I don’t trust myself. I didn’t do what I said I was going to do, which slowly eats away at my self-confidence. I was thinking of my goal but not working towards it.

(Note to self): This is your weekend reminder to show up for yourself, your goals (aka dreams). 💖J
