Courage over Comfort
In January I said I was going to choose calm in order to choose courage. Which would lead to choosing courage over comfort.
Yesterday I did just that. As my friends headed out to our annual Beer Fest, I went to SoulCycle. As they enjoyed time surrounded by hundreds of strangers, I snuggled Anela & Keama.
Choosing courage over comfort doesn’t have to be extreme and it doesn’t have to happen with ever decision. That’s a misconception- choosing courage over comfort can be small like 5 more minutes at the gym or one less glass of wine. Small (courageous) decisions add up over time.
Courage looks different for everyone. For me, right now, it looks like quiet days/nights at home because my comfort zone looks like doing what I’ve always done simply because I’ve always done it.
I urge you to take a little time today to identify your comfort zone and consider living with a little courage.
